I teach Art & Design and Photography at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). I have a degree in Contemporary Fine Art and a Masters in Education. Currently I’m a Subject Mentor and Head of Department.

I have also written for the BBC Bitesize GCSE Art guide.

This site is for sharing art and design lesson resources including full lessons, schemes of work, art starters and bell ringers, art lesson plenaries and other art activities.

I love to share art student’s work and regularly link to other art teacher resource sites that are doing something similar!

Testimonial:

When I started working with this student, she was at a GCSE Grade 3. However I was thrilled when she ended up achieving a Grade 8.

We appointed art.teacher.mcr as a tutor when my daughter was in Year 10 and, despite always loving Art, she was having a much less than satisfactory experience in school with no proper lessons or skills being taught. She had lost confidence, had nothing to show for two terms work and was given a Grade 3 in her Year 10 exam. After having one face-to-face and one online session each week until September of Year 11 and then one face to face lesson thereafter, she has achieved a Grade 8 in her final exam.

The teacher is kind, patient and encouraging. He has shown my daughter how to develop skills in different techniques and materials and has helped her to gain full confidence in her own ideas. His secure knowledge of what is required in terms of her accompanying notes and development work has been completely invaluable as this was totally missing in school.

I could not rate or recommend art.teacher.mcr highly enough. We will so miss his weekly visits and his calm, inspiring approach.

I offer a range of art lessons for all ages and abilities, including GCSE and A- Level so if you have any questions just let me know!
